1 Partially irregular verbs

Some verbs are irregular in so far as the stem changes in the nous and vous form, in accordance with the present tense stem:

Il vaut mieux que tu prennes un imperméable

You'd better take a raincoat

Dites lui qu'elle vienne tout de suite

Tell her to come straightaway

Le voleur a réussi à pénétrer dans le bâtiment sans qu'on le voie

The thief managed to enter the building without being seen

The following verbs have wholly irregular forms:

Je ne crois pas qu'elle l'ait fait exprès

I don't think she did it on purpose

Tu dois réserver les billets avant qu'il ne soit trop tard

You should book the tickets before it's too late

Quoi qu'il fasse, il s'attire toujours des ennuis

Whatever he does, he always gets into trouble

Il n'y a personne ici qui puisse nous aider
